María Jesús Álava
Mental health professional and specialist in Executive Coaching
María Jesús Graduated in Psychology from Universidad Complutense, and is an Expert in Psychotherapy from Federación Europea de Asociaciones de Psicólogos (EFPA). She holds a Master in Human Resources Management, and a Master in Pedagogical Psychology, she is a Specialist in Psychodiagnosis and in Executive Coaching.
She is an associate professor at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, at Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio, and an Honorary Member of Sociedad Castellana de Medicina y Seguridad en el Trabajo. She was awarded one of the TOP 100 Leading Women in Spain in 2012, 2017, and 2020. She also received the 2017 Award for the best work in the Dissemination of Psychology.
María Jesús has held various managerial positions at the CSIC (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas), Ministerio de Fomento, and Aena.
She is currently President of Apertia-Consulting and Fundación Universitaria for the Development of Psychology and Research. She also directs the Centro de Psicología Álava Reyes and Instituto de Bienestar Psicológico Y Social, where more than one hundred professionals work in the areas of psychology, engineering, economics, communication, and medicine, among others.
From Apertia they launched the project LA FELICIDAD PRODUCTIVA, which is having a profound impact on organizations. She is the author of the book “LA INUTILIDAD DEL SUFRIMIENTO” (with more than 500,000 copies). Her latest book is “SACA PARTIDO A TU VIDA”. Other famous titles from María Jesús are “LA VERDAD DE LA MENTIRA”, “LAS 3 CLAVES DE LA FELICIDAD”, “TRABAJAR SIN SUFRIR”, “RECUPERAR LA ILUSIÓN”, “EMOCIONES QUE HIEREN”, “AMAR SIN SUFRIR”, and “EL NO TAMBIÉN AYUDAR A CRECER”, among others.

Antoni Ballabriga is Global Head Responsible Business at BBVA.
Antoni has been named co-chair of UNEP-FI Global Steering Committee, the global partnership established between the United Nations Environment Programme and the financial sector. Antoni is a member of the European Commission’s High-Level Expert Group on scaling up sustainable finance in low- and middle-income countries. He is chair of the Sustainable Finance Expert Group at the European Banking Federation. Furthermore, he is a member of the Net Zero Banking Alliance Steering Committee promoted by the United Nations. Senior Advisor of the Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders of the WEF.
Ballabriga holds a Degree in Business Administration and MBA from ESADE Business School. Academic collaborator at ESADE. He is a former president of SpainSIF, Spanish Forum for Socially Responsible Investment, and former president of DIRSE, Spanish Association of CSR Professionals.
In addition, he has studied at Harvard Business School and Cambridge University. Antoni is First Mover Fellow at the Aspen Institute.

António Calçada is currently the executive managing director and vice chairman of the Repsol Foundation.
Prior to December 2018, António Calçada had been a member of the Downstream Executive Committee, CEO of Repsol Comercial (RCPP), chairman of Repsol Portugal, chairman of Air Miles, S.A., and has sat on the boards of various Repsol Group companies and joint ventures (Petrocat, Terminales Canarios, and Gespevesa).
As an executive managing director of the Repsol Group, for years he has led the Service Stations, Direct Sales and International Aviation, and Marketing businesses in four countries: Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Mexico.
All of this was thanks to his extensive knowledge of the retail and sales and distribution sectors in different markets and cultures across Europe and Latin America.
He began his career in the ’80s at the US multinational Exxon. There, he worked in various sectors and markets (Spain, Portugal, Italy, and North Africa), ranging from chemicals and petrochemicals to fuels and lubricants.
He is the current chairman of the Portuguese Diaspora and also chairman of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in Spain, a founding member of the Council of the Worldwide Portuguese Diaspora, and in 2010 received an award in Portugal for best manager of the year. In 2014, the president of Portugal personally granted him the official title of comendador (commander) in return for his service to Portugal and its image around the world, thanks to his work as an executive director at Repsol.
António Calçada earned his degree in industrial engineering at the University of Lisbon’s Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) and later obtained an MBA at the IE Business School of Madrid and completed the Managing Corporate Resources Program at IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland.

He was born in El Ferrol (La Coruña) in 1969. He obtained a degree in Law at the University of Navarra (Pamplona, 1994), a Master’s in Economics and Business Administration from IESE (Barcelona, 1996); Senior Business Management Program by IESE (PADE 2008 Madrid). He is an expert in National Defense by the Higher Center for National Defense Studies (CESEDEN XXXII promotion).
He is currently Vice President of Institutional Coordination, Solidarity, and External Relations of the General Council of ONCE, Executive Vice President of Fundación ONCE, Vice President of ILUNION (Group of social enterprises of ONCE), and President of Fundación ONCE for Latin America (FOAL).
Furthermore, he is First Vice President of the Spanish Association of Foundations, Secretary General of the Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities (CERMI), and First Vice President of the Spanish Paralympic Committee.
He has been President of the Excellence in Management Club, President of Forética, and a member of the European Commission’s Group of Experts on Social Responsibility.

Ignacio Eyries is the Managing Director for Caser Group since 2022, leading the transformation of the company until the consolidation of a unique business model, not only in the insurance sector in our country but also in the elderly, hospital sector, dental clinics, and value added services.
In addition to his position as CEO of the Caser Group, he is a member of the board of directors of ADP (Association for Progress in Management), and President of Cepreven: Association for research and promotion of actions aimed at the prevention and safety of Lives and Goods, exchange of information and technical support to organizations and companies. Furthermore, he is a Professor of the Master’s in Banking and Finance at Centro de Estudios Garrigues.
Eyries earned his degree in civil engineering at the Polytechnic School of Madrid and an MBA from IESE. He began his professional career in 1982 at Dragados y Construcciones, later joined McKinsey as a consultant, and later held the position of General Manager at Alico. From 1998 until his appointment at Caser, he was CEO of Royal & SunAlliance Spain.

Héctor initiated his professional career at Deloitte at the end of 1989. After several years focusing on financial and regulatory advising, in 1999 Héctor specialized in strategic consulting for financial institutions. In 2001 he was appointed partner in the consulting practice.
Between 2007 and 2016, he was in charge of directing the Strategy and Operations services at the Spanish Firm. In 2011 he took office as the Chief Strategy Officer at Deloitte Spain. In 2015, Héctor directed the launch of the Monitor Deloitte brand in the Spanish market, which is enabling Deloitte to become one of the main Spanish corporations in strategic consulting.
In 2017 he was designated Managing Partner of Consulting at the Spanish Firm, which he holds until 2021. Héctor has led consulting projects for the main Spanish banks, including in particular the following types of projects: strategic plans, M&A, business diversification and international expansion, growth acceleration plans, programs to improve results, and organizational advisory services.
In addition, he has played a prominent role in the restructuring process of the Spanish banking industry that has taken place in recent years, advising various banks throughout the process.
He has a degree in Economics and Business Science from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE E-2), and he is a member of Asociación Española de Economistas. He has also completed the IESE Business School Management Development Program (PDD).
Flórez Crespo has developed and published numerous studies on the financial sector, for example: “La Banca Española ante el nuevo milenio”, “Realidad y futuro de las Cajas de Ahorros”, “Análisis de la situación de Madrid como Centro Financiero Global”, “Análisis y Redefinición de los Servicios Bancarios en Europa”, or “Cómo reindustrializar España”.

Lucila holds an Executive MBA from IESE Business School. She graduated in Business Administration from Universidad Complutense of Madrid. In 2014 she participated in a Shared Value program at Harvard Business School. In 2016 she was selected by the U.S. Department of State for the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). In September 2018 she attended the Executive Program at Singularity University (Silicon Valley).
She began her career at Bankinter S.A. in 2000 where she had the opportunity to develop different responsibilities such as commercial and private banking. In 2011, she decided to focus on the management of non-profit entities
Now she is currently serving as the Executive Director in SERES foundation, that incorporates 150 companies and represents around 70% of the IBEX 35 and 30% of the Spanish GDP. The focus of the Foundation is to promote social actions of companies and transform business reality to build a better and healthier society and a stronger company.

Maider Gorostidi García, manager of Emana and Organizational Development consultant. Maider is a researcher of dialogue within the process of organizational change. Her job consists of understanding how people interact within organizations.

Helena Herrero is currently president and CEO of HP for Spain, Portugal, France and Italy. She joined HP in 1982, took the role of vice president in 2002 and was appointed president and CEO in 2012.
Helena is also a member of the Naturgy and Mutua Madrileña board of directors and chair for Fundación I+E Innovación España. She is a trustee in both the Cotec Foundation for Innovation and Princesa de Girona Foundation. She is also a member of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, APD Governing Council and CEOE Business Action Council.
She is the vice president of Amcham and Fundación Seres, she is a member of the American Business Council board of directors, Spain-USA Council Foundation and Madrid Futuro. She is part of different governing bodies and committees, including Advisory Board of d Fundación General CSIC and of Science, Technology and Innovation of Ministry de Science, Innovation y Universities. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of IESE’s Management Committee, the Junior Achievement board of trustees.
Helena was named “Personality of the Year” by Byte magazine, “2013 Executive of the Year” by Ejecutivos magazine and FEDEPE and “Female Director 2015” by Madrid Foundation Woman’s Week. In addition, she received the Association of Companies and Professionals of Valencia’s (EVAP’s) Professionalism Award. In addition, she has also received the “Anque 2018” award from National Association of Chemists and Chemical Engineers of Spain.

Antonio Lorenzo is a journalist and the director of the Digital 4.0 magazine of elEconomista. He is responsible for technological information, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and Defense at elEconomista. His career includes more than 25 years of writing on a daily basis, always in the economic press about new technologies. He has received a dozen journalism awards and currently shares his professional practice at elEconomista with the first correspondent for a media outlet in the metaverse, also at elEconomista.

Domingo Mirón is Accenture’s Chief Risk Officer and also the President of Accenture in Iberia, which consists of Spain, Portugal, and Israel. He is a member of Accenture’s Global Management Committee.
Prior to taking this role in March 2020, he was Accenture’s group chief executive of Financial Services, which served the banking, capital markets and insurance industries. Before this, he was group operating officer for Financial Services, responsible for executing the business strategy and driving operational excellence across the organization.
He previously led Accenture’s Financial Services business in Iberia from 2014 to 2016. I was Accenture’s senior managing director – Financial Services, Growth & Strategy from 2011 to 2014. From 2009 to 2011, He led Accenture’s banking business in Europe, Africa and Latin America.
Throughout his career, he has led major projects spanning internationalization, process-improvement and operating-model design for both Spanish and international banking and insurance clients.
Nowadays he advocates for the business and social transformation led by the digitization and the intensive usage of technology with the aim of achieving a positive impact in the businesses, people and the planet.
In addition to these roles, he is the President of Accenture Foundation in Spain. He has been involved on their activities since it was founded more than 15 years ago. Its goal is to improve the employability of the most vulnerable people, and the update of the digital knowledge of the Spanish society to improve the working opportunities of all people.
In addition, he also participates and serves on the Boards of key business and social organizations as CEOE (Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations), Foreign Multinationals for the Spain Brand, Fundacion Seres, Royal Opera House in Madrid, Princess of Asturias Foundation and Princess of Girona Foundation.

George Serafeim is the Charles M. Williams Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, where he co-leads the Impact-Weighted Accounts Project and the Climate and Sustainability Impact AI Lab. He is currently teaching the course “Risks, Opportunities and Investments in an Era of Climate Change” that he designed for the elective curriculum of the MBA program and the course “Financial Reporting and Control” in the required MBA curriculum. Previously, he taught, with Professor Rebecca Henderson, the elective course “Reimagining Capitalism: Business and Big Problems”, which received the Ideas Worth Teaching Award from the Aspen Institute and the Grand Page Prize. He has presented his research in over 60 countries around the world and ranks among the top 10 most popular authors out of over 12,000 business authors on the Social Science Research Network. His forthcoming book “Purpose and Profit: How Business Can Lift Up the World” will be available in summer of 2022.
Professor Serafeim’s research focuses on measuring, driving and communicating corporate performance and social impact. His work is widely cited and has been published in prestigious academic and practitioner journals, such as Management Science, The Accounting Review, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Finance, Organization Science, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of International Business Studies, Review of Accounting Studies, Financial Analysts Journal, and Harvard Business Review. His research is regularly cited in the media, including The New York Times, Bloomberg, Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Economist, BBC, Le Monde, Washington Post, and NPR. He has received multiple awards and recognitions, including the Greenhill Award for outstanding contributions to the HBS community, the Pericles Leadership Award in recognition of services to the Hellenic Republic, the Kim B. Clark Fellowship on Responsible Leadership from University of Oxford, the Dr. Richard A. Crowell Memorial Prize, the JIBS Decade Award, and the Graham and Dodd Scroll Award, for his research on corporate purpose, sustainability and the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues in business strategy and investing. He has been recognized by Barron’s as “one of the most influential people in ESG investing.”
Professor Serafeim has held several positions of leadership. He serves on the board of directors of Liberty Mutual, a Fortune 100 company and global leader in property-casualty insurance, dss+, a leading operations consulting firm and the global leader in employee health and safety services, and AEA-Bridges Impact Corp., a NYSE publicly listed company. He is an academic partner at State Street Associates, where he directs research on climate change-related transition and physical risks and opportunities and other ESG issues that are of relevance to investors globally. He has been an investor and advisor for several start-ups in the investment management industry.
Previously, he co-founded the advisory services firm KKS Advisors, which was acquired by DuPont Sustainable Solutions. Moreover, he served on the steering committee of the Athens Exchange Group, the governance body for both stock and bond market exchanges, with a focus on capital formation and efficient financing. During his tenure as the Chairperson of Greece’s Corporate Governance Council, a new corporate governance code was created and issued to improve corporate governance practices, investor protection, and competitiveness. He has contributed in advancing corporate transparency globally, having served on the inaugural Standards Council of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board, which created standards for investor relevant sustainability corporate disclosures adopted by hundreds of leading companies around the world, and on the Taskforce Working Group on Impact Transparency, Integrity and Reporting established by the UK’s Presidency of the G7 nations. He was a member of the first ever decarbonization advisory panel for the New York Common Retirement Fund, one of the largest US pension funds, which offered recommendations on how the Fund could identify, assess and manage the investment risks and opportunities of climate change.
Professor Serafeim earned his doctorate in business administration at Harvard Business School, where his doctoral dissertation was recognized with the Wyss Award for excellence in research. He received a master’s degree in accounting and finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he was awarded the Emeritus Professors’ Prize for best academic performance. He grew up in Athens, Greece.
